Our surveyors, weighers and samplers attend vessels and other vehicles of transport upon commencement and completion of cargo loading/discharging activities. Certifications include outturn weight upon discharge, lab testing for cargo quality, draft survey upon loading, vessel cleanliness, and all particulars of cargo inspection. Inter Marine calculates quantity and quality of cargo loaded or discharged at port, refinery, warehouse, mill or vessel displacement. Inter Marine provides full loss control services including facility inspections, operational and procedural review to assist in mitigating losses and casualty avoidance, and review of best practices including issuance of rain letters, if needed.
Inter Marine primarily handles dry bulk cargoes that are loaded directly into the cargo space without any intermediate form of containment. In shipping, break-bulk cargo or general cargo are goods that must be loaded individually, neither in intermodal containers nor in bulk, as with oil or grain. Vessels are called general cargo bulk carriers that handle cargoes that are uniform in composition. Varied agricultural dry cargoes are shared by these vessels and clean-out of holds are essential at varied points to ensure consistent quality. Inter Marine monitors loading and discharge operations diligently to guarantee the highest standards in supervision.
